AI-driven ACL Explainer

Know that your Edumate permissions are assigned as intended. The ACL Explainer uses an Edumate-authored reference file and safe agentic AI to summarise the ACLs across your users, flag possible problems and errors, and suggest best practice. Advice is based on the Edumate Default ACL Framework and the ACL pattern many schools already use, which we highly recommend.

"Masquerade As" for Admins

See exactly what a specific user can see, ideal for troubleshooting and checking ACL outcomes. Masquerade As comes with the ACL Explainer, sits behind a new ACL assigned by your school, and is fully audited.

Assistive AI for Academic Reports

A student course inclusion/exclusion console and Proofing Tool to simplify setup and finalisation. They will help you to:

01. Identify students registered in two classes within a course

02. Identify students who have left the school

03. Look for incomplete/empty data in each student’s Academic Report

Coming Soon: Canvas Sync II and Agentic AI in Edumate  

Canvas Sync II makes it easier for schools using Canvas to manage Coursework Tasks. Create the task in Edumate, sync it to Canvas for students to complete and teachers to mark, then have the released results flow back to Edumate for archiving, analytics, academic reporting, and progressive reporting. Keep your eyes peeled as the release will be announced soon.

We're also working on projects that will bring agentic AI safely into Edumate - to analyse data and make recommendations, and to assist with complex technical tasks:

Medical Centre Dashboard

We've added "New" buttons at the top and bottom of the Sickbay Today and Medications to Administer grids, making it easier to add records when the lists are long.

Carer Reason Submissions Screen

We've improved the workflow for same-day "absence in advance" submissions, making it simpler for staff to manage student absences due to illness.

Medical Centre Sickbay

Thank you to everyone who shared feedback. We have added a new Treated By field to Sickbay records based on your input. This field is separate from the user who created the record or last updated it.

Academic Reports Audit Improvements

We have improved auditing when changes are made to a course report through the Summation Reports Course Preview section.

Student Places 

We have fixed an issue in Edumate 7.0 where marks and places were not appearing on the Student Places screen. 

Direct Debits Processing

We have resolved a Finance issue where Automatic Payment direct debits were still being processed when no payment method was set. The query now excludes debtors without a valid payment method, preventing unintended direct debits.

Analytics API

We have improved the performance of the getStudentCourseResults endpoint used by TrackOne Studio. By using bulk queries and adding caching for key calculations, response times are now significantly faster for large report periods with many students and courses.

Daily Org: Duty Classes

We have resolved an issue where duty classes that needed a replacement teacher disappeared from the Daily Org screen after covers were booked.

Welfare Items

Schools can now choose the default setting for new welfare items, deciding whether the “Publish to Carer and Students” flag is preselected or not.

Medicare and Healthfund Data

Many schools are reducing data risk by removing Medicare and Healthfund details for students who are no longer enrolled. This Edumate tool automates that process by deleting this information for past students.

Coming Soon: Canvas Sync II

Our enhanced Canvas sync will send Edumate coursework tasks to Canvas so students can complete and submit them there. Teachers can mark the work in Canvas using rubrics, and both marks/grades and criteria results automatically sync back to Edumate for reporting and archiving.
