We've added "New" buttons at the top and bottom of the Sickbay Today and Medications to Administer grids, making it easier to add records when the lists are long.

Carer Reason Submissions Screen

We've improved the workflow for same-day "absence in advance" submissions, making it simpler for staff to manage student absences due to illness.

Coming Soon: Agentic AI in Edumate

We're currently working on 3 projects that will bring agentic AI safely into Edumate - to analyse data and make recommendations, and to assist with complex technical tasks:

01. Academic Reports: Student Course Inclusion/Exclusion Console and Proofing Tool

These new tools will simplify the initial setup and finalisation of Academic Reports:

01. Identify students registered in two classes within a course
02. Identify students who have left the school
03. Look for incomplete/empty data in each student’s Academic Report

02.  ACL Permissions Review Tool - Quickly shows what access a user has, what they can do, and whether anything looks unusual or out of place. It also provides insight into the recommended Edumate Default ACL Framework, giving system administrators greater confidence and peace of mind. Includes a fully audited "Masquerade as another user" feature, so admins can see exactly what that user sees.

03. Case Management System - an intelligent system designed to support schools in managing complex and high-risk incidents, including bullying, WHS issues, complaints, and legal threats. It helps guide school-defined workflows with clearer processes for detection, documentation, action, accountability, and auditing.

Medical Centre Sickbay

Thank you to everyone who shared feedback. We have added a new Treated By field to Sickbay records based on your input. This field is separate from the user who created the record or last updated it.

Academic Reports Audit Improvements

We have improved auditing when changes are made to a course report through the Summation Reports Course Preview section.

Student Places 

We have fixed an issue in Edumate 7.0 where marks and places were not appearing on the Student Places screen. 

Direct Debits Processing

We have resolved a Finance issue where Automatic Payment direct debits were still being processed when no payment method was set. The query now excludes debtors without a valid payment method, preventing unintended direct debits.

Analytics API

We have improved the performance of the getStudentCourseResults endpoint used by TrackOne Studio. By using bulk queries and adding caching for key calculations, response times are now significantly faster for large report periods with many students and courses.

Daily Org: Duty Classes

We have resolved an issue where duty classes that needed a replacement teacher disappeared from the Daily Org screen after covers were booked.

Welfare Items

Schools can now choose the default setting for new welfare items, deciding whether the “Publish to Carer and Students” flag is preselected or not.

Medicare and Healthfund Data

Many schools are reducing data risk by removing Medicare and Healthfund details for students who are no longer enrolled. This Edumate tool automates that process by deleting this information for past students.

Coming Soon: Canvas Sync II

Our enhanced Canvas sync will send Edumate coursework tasks to Canvas so students can complete and submit them there. Teachers can mark the work in Canvas using rubrics, and both marks/grades and criteria results automatically sync back to Edumate for reporting and archiving.
